The event will take place on Monday, October 18 on Landis Green at 9 p.m. during FSU Homecoming’s Spirit Night. Those who choose to attend will have the opportunity to enjoy a 5 to 10-minute fireworks display that will conclude the first Homecoming event of the week and commence the beginning of Florida State’s “Channeling Tradition” celebration.

FSU Homecoming Council wants to bring attention to this event to ensure the safety and comfort of both those attending the events and students living near Landis Green as well as staff in the surrounding area. Loud noises and bright lights will be expected, as well as smoke smells and clouds.

This event will be in a safe and controlled environment and all appropriate safety measures have been addressed. With safety in mind, FSUPD would like to remind everyone there are inherent risks associated with pyrotechnics, so please use extreme caution and follow all safety guidelines provided by event staff.

This event commemorates students, staff, and alumni for their love of Florida State while providing a fun and exciting occasion for FSU students. The show will bring the night to a close after student groups participate in live performances. Students will enjoy free food and Homecoming merchandise. To ensure the safety and health of those who attend, FSU expects masks to be worn at all times, hands to be washed as frequently as possible, and social distancing to be used in large or crowded areas.
